 If technology companies are funded by people that have earned their wealth through exploitation and greed, the trend is evident that the companies they build will follow these same practices.  These companies may grow fast, but that initial structure will be more difficult to control or regulate once that company has reached a certain size.  After a company goes public, it will be even more difficult to discern the source of their wealth when ethical investments are diluted by the founding corrupt investment.

When there is no more ability to shakeup management in these companies because their stock listings have unique structures that prevent buyouts it will be an arduous process to implement true change.  Instead, developing a more detailed process of recruiting ethical investors initially and allowing them to guide the formation of the company structure, may be a slower process that develops a higher valued organization.  This process may be an instrumental strategy for new and emerging technology enterprises.

Another strategy for developing higher valued organizations may be to allow for more input from consumers.  Technology companies today are displaced from customer service.  It is very difficult, virtually impossible, to reach a human at many of the large technology companies today.  If technology companies allow for more communication and input from consumers, they could return the value that consumers have in customer service.

Consumers could then participate in the development of better products and services.  If technology companies continue to ignore consumers, then they will continue to develop displaced products and services and add undesirable features to their existing products.  The next generation of technology companies will hopefully bring ethical investors and happy customers that will lead to long lasting institutions and sources of revenue.

Unlike software engineering, errors in machine learning and artificial intelligence may not be evident in testing or early production phases.  Errors in machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms may be more difficult to find and can cause greater danger if these technologies are placed into market.  The need for organizing the planning and processing for management of artificial intelligence may demand greater scrutiny in the development of project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders.

If a software product fails because of loss of data, there are a number of regulations that govern what should take place because of the breach.  Regulations for data privacy have been developed to ensure that personally identifiable information is protected.  There are also industry specific regulations to protect data in industries such as health care and education.

Unfortunately, there are not international, national, or industry specific regulations governing the ng the application of artificial intelligence algorithms.  Nor are there disclosure measurements for how public and private sectors can deploy artificial intelligence algorithms.  Corporations can deploy artificial intelligence algorithms with reckless abandon without any responsibility for the outcome.

Without any regulation, these algorithms may have the potential to be weaponized against certain populations.  Without disclosure requirements, it may be very difficult for the public to even know how and when these algorithms are being operated.  Presently, it is a corporate social responsibility to maintain ethical and moral requirements of the wild, wild west of artificial intelligence algorithms.

Society, through their compassion, patience, understanding, and forgiveness, raises the princes of morals to exercise judgement of thought based on the reverse of the same principles exercised.  The princes, fuelled by greed, blinded by carelessness, and oblivious of cruelty, returns to society a fortune of misfortune.  Propelled by a lack of early prevention, the enormous beast of society media subdues society by its own creation.

The ills of society media can no longer be avoided as the reach of the society media princes are no longer with bounds.  Society media princes rule not only a county, not only a country, not only a continent, but a collection of seven continents spanning the globe.

There is nothing that extends outside the limits of the society media princes.  Guilty, as I am for supporting such an endeavour, I seek permission for lacking amazement with the potential of the society media empire.

The potential problems for a society media empires and society media princes, now realized, raise the alarm on how such a ridiculous idea can even be suggested, and much less exist.  With every challenge, there must be a solution. 

Possibly, international market policies and regulations may provide prevention.  An easier solution may be to allow for existing market strategies to persist.  Eventually, the demand for uncensored platforms will outlive the nostalgia of the society media empires. 

Of course some form of censorship must exist.  Otherwise, people would create their own news and publishing companies and publish whatever they want.  Obviously, there is a risk in that idea. 

But, too much power to just a few organizations can present a risk to the purest freedom, freedom of thought.  No more should the entire world be coerced into the thought patterns of a handful of society media princes.  That is just a suggestion, which may eventually prosper to a fruit.

The recent events in information technology raise the question of the value of ethics to technology corporations.  The role that ethics plays in the corporate social responsibility may be delivered through an external board or may be embedded within the structure of an organization.  Corporations may even have separate divisions that focus on ethics if they see it is necessary or they say it has a value.  If they can determine the value of ethics to the organization and their business model, they may be able to withstand from avoiding the concept of dividing ethics from the policies and procedures of the organization.

If the leading ethical researcher of artificial intelligence in the world is removed from a corporation, it may lead others to question the value of ethics to business.  Ethics may not be a commodity that can be bought or sold or a physical product that can be placed on a store shelf.  Yet, ethics has a role in the function of enterprise activity.  Ethics can increase the value of products.  For example, ethically sourced equipment may be of a higher value than equipment that is not ethically sourced.  However, if ethical processes and procedures are not incorporated in the core values of a corporation, it may be difficult to include ethics into the operations of the corporation.

Ethics may have a higher value than the actual products of the corporation.  The ease of building and developing technology products may fail in comparison to the ability to develop ethical virtues.  A new field of artificial intelligence may be necessary to provide the design and creation of value systems that have social benefit, ethical intelligence.  Ethical intelligence may present itself as the emerging curriculum of artificial intelligence.
